Dear Songwriters and Publishers:
This summer we are recording a full CD project for Toni Henson Slade, an independent artist from Georgia. We are looking for 10 original songs, and will be taking submissions immediately.
Toni is a CCM/Adult Contemporary artist, and has a powerful and very versatile soprano voice. She has an ongoing Christian music ministry that is geared toward encouragement and inspiration. She and her husband, Lance also have a ministry called
Project Giving (see
http://projectgiving.net/index.html), helping those in need in their area.
For the recording, we in need of the following:
1. A couple of POWERHOUSE songs in the vein of In Christ Alone or Arise, My Love, with key changes, lots of building, and big sustained endings. She likes the fullness and style of Chris Sligh's In the Moment and Empty Me.
2. Thoughtful, reflective, inspirational ballads - oriented for piano and string arrangements
3. A couple of black gospel songs along the lines of Freedom Song, by Mandisa
4. We are not looking for praise and worship songs at this time, but artist songs.
Please submit songs ASAP, in mp3 form, with a lyric pasted into the e-mail. YouTube videos are acceptable as well. Please send to: jeffnjenny@me.com
Also, feel free to spread the word to other writers and publishers. We appreciate your submissions. If your songs are selected, we will notify you, and ask for the publishing information, and mechanical license information.
