A Note From Lara:
"Dear friends and family,
It's my pleasure to share what exciting news I have going on right now. Doors are opening for me to do things I have only dreamed of! I'm learning so much in the process. I thank you so much for all your support, encouragement and love.
I feel like this summer is "the summer of love" so to speak- as I'm being taken out of Nashville and my familiar way of life and living in CA for a few months to share my music here and to learn more about God's unrelenting love for me.
Galations 6:9-10 is a verse I keep going back to and one I want you to grab onto.
"Let us not become weary in doing good,
for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people,
especially to those who belong to the family of believers."
I pray the peace of Christ guard your hearts and your minds, may His love wash away your worries and bring joy to your heart,
Lara
"Beloved" Music Video Debut
"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
Shall trouble or hardship or persecution?......No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,
neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:35-39
Lara explains "This video represents the greatest love of my life. A love I don't fully understand- a love no one can fully understand.
All I know is that the love Jesus Christ has for me and you is stronger than death. It's fiery. It's passionate....everyone my age is searching for "the one", their true romance and I'm here to say you've already found it and it's better than you can imagine"

"Closer" goes to Radio
A July 17th add date has been given to the first single off of Lara Landon's debut album Beloved. Look out for "Closer" on all AC radio stations nationwide.
Lara explains the choice... "I know this song is not upbeat like most first singles are, but it's one of the closest to my heart and I think it shows who I am and where I'm at. I know a lot of people feel the same way so I know they will be drawn to the song".

New Reality's Efforts In Haiti Continue
After the devastation in Haiti fades from the news, New Reality International, Lara's non-profit organization is keeping the flame alive.
Since the earthquake NRI has organized three successful medical missions to Fonds Parisians Haiti and is leaving for the fourth mission this June 22nd.
During the last six months NRI was able to bring over 2 tons (4200 lbs) of medical, dental and humanitarian supplies to Haiti.
But Lara is commited to the cause for more personal reasons than just the desire to do good. The relationships she formed with the children at Haiti Christian Mission have literally changed her life and given her a desire to keep going to Haiti and bringing them hope and help. Tour This Fall
Lara is making plans to join the "Traveling Troubadors" on the road this fall.
Sponsored by Anchor Artists Agency “Traveling Troubadours- More Than A Show ” is a tour dedicated to reaching the lost. Looking at it from the perspective of “how would Jesus Tour?” the “musicianaires” are approaching this tour as a chance to really show God’s love with their words and actions. With a storyteller-like feel, the artists will be speaking into the stories of the songs and connecting with those who are listening.
"The Traveling Troubadours is a chance to do something unheard of. It is a chance to give more than just a performance,” says one of the performers Joy Whitlock. “We are all excited to be a part of these beginnings.” Easily recognized by his long hair and beard, Sean Michel made a lasting impression with his soulful vocal style on season six of the Fox Network’s hit television show American Idol. Since American Idol, Michel continues to gain a growing following worldwide.

Rachael Mann is planning a trip to Nepal this fall...Please pray for her and the needed finances..
Dear C.S.M.I
Hello, my name is Rachael Mann, and I am a singer/songwriter who lives in Nashville. I recently moved here from Alabama after a strong leading from the Holy Spirit to make the next step into the full time ministry/missions calling I believe God has set before me. God has opened doors for me to travel around the United States and the World to share how wonderful He is and during that time, grow closer to Him through the same processs. In 2009, God opened doors for me and groups from the United States to share Christ to the mainly Buddhist nations of Cambodia and Thailand, while also visiting the Holy Land-Israel and Jordan. On the trip to Cambodia and Thailand, over 8,731 people came to know the Lord in a four day period! This is not including all the miracles we saw. Peoples lives were changed in an instant due to the power and love of Our Mighty God!
I have recently made the exciting decision to go on a mission trip to Nepal. The ministry I am going with has carried the Gospel message to over 25 countries around the World, seeing tens of thousands come to Christ through their ministry. On many trips, thousands of people hear the complete Gospel for the first time ever. I can not think of a better way to spend my time than sharing the Gospel with others while seeing my life changed as well.
During this trip, I will be able to experience hands-on ministry through drama, children's ministry, music, and street evangelism. Also, our team will be a part of Mass Crusades experiencing the impact of seeing thousands won for Christ. And in every crusade God always confirms His Grace preached by healing and by performing miracles. I will be leaving on November 18th and returning home on November 28th. The total cost of the trip is 2800, which includes all expenses, airfare, accommodations, food and training.
I cannot accomplish this alone, so I have sent this letter to you. Your support is a key part of seeing lives changed during my mission trip this Fall. Please agree with me for the great results and that we will have great impact in the country of Nepal. In order to receive your tax deduction for your donation, you must make the check payable to J.S.M.I. If you have any questions please contact me through email at Rachaelmannmusic@gmail.com. "How would Jesus Tour?" is the question that has been burning the hearts and minds of the artists who make up the Traveling Troubadours Fall Tour..
Bruce Roberts, former Christian concert promoter felt God was leading him to put together a tour that had a completely different agenda than he had seen. He set out to find artists who shared his vision. This union led to a successful Spring 2010 tour. And by "success" they mean elderly people finding comfort and joy when the group visited their nursing home, neighbors meeting each other for the first time at a block party concert, and countless other successes.
"God is naturally knitting together like-hearts that just want to go wherever we feel their is a need" says Landon, the newest addition to join veteran Troubadours Carolina Story and Joy Whitlock this October.
"We want to do this for Him so when we breathe our last breath, He can smile and reach out and say “Well done my good and faithful servant”.
"Help us do this by becoming a partner! When you invest in a tour like this you will reap the harvest with us! We will keep you updated as we travel and for donating to make this possible the incentives and gifts are sure to inspire you! Check out our video, get to know our hearts, our music and our awesome incentives for you!"

"Closer" Comes To Life In A New Music Video
Luke 9:23-24 " And He said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. 24 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it."
Carrying a life size cross through the deserts of California in the heat of summer is a small price to pay for a piece of art that captures the heart and message of Lara's first single "Closer".
The video depicts the struggle that many of us have in picking up our cross, be it our burdens in life or our God given desires and carrying them no matter what the cost.
Using Jesus as the ultimate example, one who carried His cross all throughout His life and literally in death, we are to embrace our cross as well- embracing the suffering and in turn finding true freedom and life!
"It's a mystery, the joy I've found when I embrace my cross, when I don't fight it- yes I perservere, yes I pray for help and that I guess is the beauty. I pray. I'm forced to deny my own strength and feel a sweet desperateness for Jesus and His help" Lara confirms.
Since the video's viral release the testimonies have been pouring in. God is using this video to encourage and touch lives!
Lara goes on to say "For me personally, my calling in life to make music and communicate my heart with it has been a big part of the cross I carry... This is part of the emotion behind this video- I'm so happy to hear it is encouraging and touching people!"

A Note From Lara:
"Friends, this has been a crazy summer and a crazy year so far for that matter- its hard to believe that the biggest things are yet to come! God is blowing open doors that are challenging me but giving me so much passion and drive to rise to the occasion at the same time. From having my song on the radio, to being able to have two videos created to express songs that have been on my heart, being part of 4 tours, traveling everywhere from Hawaii to Alaska to Haiti and back, it's all much bigger than myself and I am well aware!
I'm learning two things about myself and the heart of God that I want to share with you. Firstly, it doesn't matter how big or small the occasion, the "importance" of the person or the group I am in front of- all that matters is that the Spirit of God is welcomed and honored and wonderful things can happen. In fact, as I've been able to play in audiences of thousands to audiences of only a handful I've realized how sweet it is to humble myself in the sight of the Lord and give all of my heart to just a few the same as I would to many...being able to touch these people, to talk to them, to hug them and to feel God was able to use me to go where ever I was needed has been one of the greatest rewards of my life. So if you feel like you are working on a "small scale" fear not! it's the quality not the quantity of what you are doing. Keep being faithful in the small things, treasure where you are at and who is placed in front of you for there are no accidents and you are already sitting next the to the person you "need to know" to get ahead!
The second thing I'm learning about is the incredible freedoms that are mine that I often don't take! Creative freedom, freedom to be invested in true friendships, freedom to change the status quo of my daily routine, freedom to find true worship- not just a form of worship, freedom to find the power and passion of God- not just a form of godliness and rules. Again, don't fear that freedom will lead to sin so we must bind our minds up and away! no, no, no that's not the freedom of the spirit of the Lord, that's bondage to fear that we will mess up and make God "mad at us". He is full of mercy and grace and wants us to be who we are and think outside the box- that's the only way He will receive true glory and worship. So as I was reviewing this newsletter I noticed that many times words like "no rules" "no boundaries" and "unconventional" were used to describe my upcoming dance/worship album, to describe the Traveling Troubadours Tour that I'm going on, to describe the way I approached making my video for "Closer" and how I had the freedom to choose this song to be the single even though it wasn't the "safe" choice!
I encourage you to keep pursuing quality over quantity- not looking to the right of to the left in comparison but being the best at being you and doing what you do! And also to take all the freedom that is yours! Jesus paid the price- now explore your heart, His heart and the different ways you want to sing, dance, worship, have friendships, write, read, and absorb all the world around you and more and more of Him! It's all about Him!
Love and more love, peace and more peace in the magnificent, majestic, merciful, wonderful name of Jesus!

News From larry Davis on a new album release..

It has been Larry Davis' ambition to do a solo project of all original songs he has written. This project has only been released a few months. These selections are some of his favorites. In his song choices he has included several "family" type gospel songs that focus on family values. A subject that has been on Larry's heart for some time now.
The title cut of this project, "It Comes From The Heart" is a song Larry wrote that speaks about his wife, daughter and Christ. Another cut is "Their Mem'ry" written about the influence his parents had on his life. (Clarence V and Flora Cleveland Davis). The story behind the song, "I Just Can't Hardly Wait" was written about a ministers son who at the breakfast table one day was having family conversation with his mom and dad and sister. He told them he loved the Lord and his suitcase was packed and he was ready to go. They were shocked to hear the news within a few days Tim, was killed in a tragic automobile accident.
Matter of fact Larry is currently writing songs for a complete project about the family unit. After much prayer on this it is moving forward for a 2011 release. Promoting current and future projects through Christian Songwriters and Musicians International.
Larry Davis Music is based out of Newton, MS and has become a respected music ministry in the field of gospel music. Larry has appeared in concerts throughout the southeast. He is listening to the Lord as He continues to open doors in other parts of the country.
Larry continues using his talent for the Lord and one can be sure that every time he completes an song, it does come from the heart.
To his credit he has the talent and the ability to bring about a knowledge of our Lord through his music. Very quickly into his performance, he is able to capture the audiences' attention.

The Calling – October 2010 Edition
Naima News!
Please forgive me for my missing newsletter over the last five months. When I last wrote and shared that I had a motivated man with intentions interested in me I had no idea that I would be becoming his wife in less then a year!
A whirlwind romance for sure, ordained by God of course! It’s such a miraculous story that I’m working on a new book to document the wonder of a man who finds a wife according to the scripture. I was just busy working for the kingdom and bam, there he was with his intentions!
Jon and I were married on Sunday, September 5, 2010 at St. Luke AME Church in Nashville, TN after a ton of premarital counseling and a very short engagement! We honeymooned in Orlando and took a cruise to the Bahamas and I must admit that my entire life and ministry were on pause as I took the unexpected road that the Lord laid before me. Marriage is truly a good thing, Jon is a minister and a gospel concert promoter and is utterly in love with me! As I am with him. I must share that he truly is a God given dream come true. We are now working together in ministry to advance the kingdom of the Lord, bring in the harvest and share the love of Christ with the world. We are truly excited about all the Lord is doing in our lives. On another note we have recently moved to Fairborn, Ohio from Nashville, TN. Midwestern USA is a bit different for Jon, but as many of you know this area is like home to me, since I had lived in Fairborn for many years. We have joined the staff at New Life Outreach Ministries and we’re helping a dear friend of mine, Pastor Lisa Lewis build this ministry from the ground up. It’s always exciting to help someone launch their vision, as you know second only to singing God’s praises that is my greatest passion. I expect to learn lots of life lessons over the next year and look forward to sharing them with you as you also move forward to achieve your God given dreams! If you’d like, take a look at our wedding video invitation by following the link below: http://www.onetruemedia.com/shared?p=b554a71c7fa2ba54ac1def&skin_id=701&utm_source=otm&utm_medium=text_url And if you’d like to see the official wedding pictures, follow this link: As always, thanking each of you for your prayers and support. Called To Sing! is a workshop based on my book Called To Sing, 13 Mistakes To Avoid When Starting In Music Ministry. Many people ask me how I am able to sustain my ministry fulltime without working another job. The truth of the matter is I am blessed, but the Lord has taught me so many things that need to be done in order to have a full time ministry. In learning these things I've developed a testimony that I love to share with other artists who desire to be in fulltime ministry. So come on out for dinner and a night of laughter, stories and wisdom gained from the Lord and life! We'll be meeting at Corky's in Brentwood, 100 Franklin Rd at 6pm. A love offering will be taken and the book will also be for sale. Please pass this along to anyone you think might be interested and let me know if you plan to attend. I'll be forwarding a flyer later this week. Blessings, Naima
