George and Pamela started One Came Down about a year after being born again while attending Calvary Chapel Orange County, where we were both on the worship team under the direction of Pastor Jim Young. We, along with our son George, currently lead worship at our home church, Calvary Chapel Grace Fellowship, in Tuxedo, NY and at other churches as well.

We both played music for many years in secular rock bands. These include Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band, Meatloaf (where we met), Ian Hunter/Mick Ronson Band, Corky Laing, Melanie, and many others. Having spent much of his life writing music George has written songs for Meatloaf, Karla DeVito, and The Blackberry Blues Band to name a few.

Then the LORD saved us and, praise be to God, the heart of worship captured us and we began writing songs to worship and glorify God! Then the name of the band came to Pamela as she was reading John 6.  In verse 33 Jesus says "For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world."…and we were off and running!

Our son, a great blessing, George George (yes, that’s right!) has been playing guitar for quite a few years and, while working a job in NYC, we called and said, (as all good parents would), “Why don’t you quit your job and come join the band!” So…he did, and we couldn’t be happier. George is on the worship team of Calvary Chapel Grace Fellowship where he is also a youth leader and youth worship leader. This is his first band and also his first time in the studio. He has taken to it like he was born for it (um…)

We have recorded our first CD: One Came Down ...and with my song I will praise Him   and continue to worship at CCGF, other churches, outreaches, conferences and concerts around the country, whenever given the opportunity.

It is our greatest desire that God would be glorified through the music He has given us. Also, our heartfelt prayer that the eyes of the lost would be opened to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and that the saints would be edified and strengthened. Always holding close to our hearts the Great Commission to “go and make disciples of all the nations” (Matthew 28:19), we are so humbled and grateful to be used by God for His purpose.

     Merry Christmas From CSMI!
