My name is Gene Schmidt the chairman of CSMI Christian Songwriters and Musicians Intl a 350 member Christian music organization that brings our music to homeless shelters, prisons, jails, and does worship events around our nation especially at this time of upheaval and turmoil. We have decided we would like to do an event at Ocean Grove in May of 2021. I have sang at Ocean Grove Conference center with my wife and we like this venue that has so much Christian heritage and history. Sadly many artists are struggling financially now and therefore they dont have alot of money to pay for lodging but if we can agree on a location and affordable rate for housing we would love to do our event there. We typically do a Friday night event at 8:30 PM. a Saturday event from 10:00-6:00 breaking one hour for lunch and then a Sunday morning Church service with the artists and a guest pastor. Lee Wansajela has done 3 or 4 of our Praise In The Pavilion events at the OG pavilion and many artists were so blessed as well as many folks who listened to the music. We have done conferences in WI Dells, Gatlinburg, Nashville, etc. We usually get a nightly room rate of 80.00. With Covid that is all the artists can afford right now.

I discussed your proposal with the CEO and Board President. They are both in full support of this request. I will need to discuss with you the logistics as well the date you have in mind for May. Please keep in mind it would need to be the earlier part of May due to programming.
